Parrish had had enough. She decided to sue the West Coast Hotel Company for violating California's labor laws. The company fought back, but Parrish refused to give up. She took her case all the way to the Supreme Court, and in 1911, she won a landmark victory.

Parrish's victory was a major turning point in the fight for labor rights in the United States. It helped to establish the principle that women had the right to fair wages and working conditions. It also inspired other women to stand up for their rights.

Elsie Parrish was a pioneer in the fight for social justice. Her story is an inspiration to us all.
